Deputies: Man Robs Victim Who Asked for a Ride

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A man is accused of robbing a victim of several personal items after the victim asked for a ride.

Just before 3:30 a.m Monday, deputies say they responded to Grove Park Lane and Broad River Road for an armed robbery call.

The victim told deputies he was getting a ride to Piney Grove Road when the suspect turned on to Grove Park Lane, authorities say.

The suspect allegedly then stole the victim’s book bag, shoes, wallet and cellphone.
